Scrutiny Final Public Report

The Independent Panel set up in Monmouthshire to scrutinise my allowance and expenses claims has now published its report. Whilst the report is self-explanatory, it is worth noting that this exercise is entirely separate from those conducted centrally by Parliament, the political parties and the press. Although the source material is the same, the examination has, I believe, been rather more comprehensive. The report has been offered to the local and regional newspapers that circulate in the constituency, together with the BBC. A copy has also been submitted to the Centre for Public Scrutiny for their records. I would like to thank the panel for what I think was an entirely fair summary and I accept the criticisms made.
