The Labour Welsh Government has been condemned for ploughing ahead with plans to spend millions of taxpayers’ money on creating more Senedd Members.
On Wednesday (8 May) the Senedd/Welsh Parliament voted to approve plans to create 36 extra Senedd Members at an estimated cost of £120m.
Welsh Conservatives voted against the plan.
Following the vote, Monmouth MP David Davies said: “Frankly, it is absolutely outrageous that the Labour Welsh Government is wasting time and over £100m of taxpayers’ money on creating more politicians.
“Having more politicians will do nothing to tackle the huge waiting lists that Monmouthshire residents are facing every single day.
“Wales desperately needs more nurses, teachers, doctors and dentists, not more politicians.”
